2.2.12.7. Block [RAWMATERIALS]

Semi finished parts can be classified as such.

For the desired projects, the feature CNS_RAWMATERIAL is set to PARTproject under Edit project -> General -> Classification -> Characteristics (CNS), the CNS_RAWMATERIAL feature is set to 1. See Section 5.12.4, “ Add projects to classification (context menu) ” in eCATALOG 3Dfindit.

In exceptional cases, Consulting can step in via configuration file and so declare certain directories/projects in this way. Local changes in the project file are not expedient, as these will be lost again with the next catalog update. Changes should be made centrally in the modeling process.

	In PDM workflows, semi finished products are possibly handled in different way, e.g. not checked in to the PDM. Furthermore semi finished products are no standard parts, which effects write protection, meaning the changeability. In connection with semi-finished products, it is important to assign the correct type identification [Identification type] in the modeling process. See Section 7.8.14, “ Identification type ” in eCATALOG 3Dfindit. Semi finished product - Dimensioning attribute pinned At PARTsolutions with ERP integration, the behavior of fields with dimension features can be controlled administratively. See Section 4.16.2, “ Pin dimension feature on/off / plinkcommon.cfg -> Block [PARTdataManager] -> Key "LockDimRange" ”.
