In a Client-Server environment, as of V12.6.2 catalog installation and index administration is possible without a special Admin client (without UNC access).
Up to now the problem occurred if the server had no access to the Internet by security reasons (network firewall) and the client could actually access the Internet, but was not mounted as UNC.
Catalog/classification download and selection on client as before. CIPs are transferred to the server (https) and the server installs the CIPs.
Index administration via Web access. Update of Display index, Text index, Geo index and LinkDB index
If you don't get access, please check the Log On server configuration in Services. See Section 4.22.3.4.3, “AppServer Configuration ”.
If the category "Catalogs" is not displayed the current user has no Admin rights. -> Click on "Change user" in the toolbar and log in with Admin rights.
If you are missing Admin rights, check it on server-side in PARTadmin under category Application Server > Rights administration > tabbed page Assign rights.
Respective users or groups have to have the right Appserver administrator or at least PARTadmin Catalog Admin Mode.
