3.3.1.3. Installation / System requirements

[Note]Note

Prerequisite for the installation of Windchill PDMLink is that the CAD interface is properly installed.

For installation, no additional packages are needed, furthermore no special additional licenses.

For providing JSP files a description can be found under Section 3.3.1.4.2, “JSP files ”.

Precondition: A server connection has to exist.

Do the following:

  1. In Creo, under File -> Manage Session, call the option Server Management.

    -> The same-named dialog is opened, where you set server and library.

  2. Select menu Server -> Register new server.

    Under Name, enter a name for the server. Under Location, enter the IP address of the server. Here, it is important to enter /Windchill behind the server name. Only in this way the server will be found.

    Example:

    http://devwindchill12.cadenas.internal/Windchill

  3. Click on Check....

    -> Searching for existing libraries is started. They are shown in the window below.

    Select the desired library and confirm with OK.

    -> The workspace of this library is used as workspace for the Creo user.

    After a double-click on Windchill 12.0 or the chosen workspace the Windchill Commonspace and Workspace are displayed in Creo.
