2.11.  Enter short name

When exporting parts from PARTsolutions to the various CAD systems, the standard designation [Standard name] (NB) is normally used as the part name. However, as certain CAD systems set a character limit for the part name, the short designation [Short name] must be created as an alternative.

The short name [Short name] is entered in PARTproject registered.

  1. Select the project file cap_nut.prj in the project selection [Project selection] on the left.

  2. Enter the short name on the right under Settings -> General tab -> Short name.

    PARTproject -> Edit project -> General tab -> Short description (max. 16 characters) [Short name (max. 16 characters)]
