3.5.3.5.  Insert model - pattern recognition

If there are patterns in the placement section, these are recognized and a corresponding dialog appears.

Initial situation: After you have placed the placement part to the CAD system using Transfer Transfer to CAD [Transfer to CAD], the view switches back to CAD and the placement dialog opens.

  1. Click the In Hole [In hole] button.

  2. Select one or more drill holes.

  3. Click the Place Multiple [Place multiple] button (dialog remains open at the end) or Place Once [Place once] button.

    -> The Place component [Place part] dialog box appears with the query "Would you like to fill the design with instances?"

    You now have two options:

    • Fill the pattern with instances [Fill pattern with instances]

    • Create instances only at selected positions [Create instances only at selected locations]

    Click on the Select [Choose] button.

    -> The desired instances are placed.

  4. If necessary, close the PARTsolutions Close the placement dialog using the dialog [Close dialog] .
