1.2.1.  Full text search tooltip

Full text search [Full-text search]:

The full text search [Full-text search] is ideal as a standard search for standard parts and manufacturer catalogs.

At own part catalogs you can search for topological linear dimensions. Otherwise search options depend on the availability of a maintained characteristic attribute table. If an ERP integration exists, you can search for ERP data such as ERP number, material, release state, etc.

Examples

  • Standard search: Any number of terms and/or numbers in any order.

    hexagon bolt with shank | hexagon bolt with shank 30 100 | hexagon bolt with shank M30x100 | 63 320 10 75

  • Wildcard search *: If not all numbers and letters are known. Any number of times at any position.

    * A89 * finds 1SF A89 7102R7000

  • Phrase search "": Specific sequence of terms. All search terms must be found. There must be neither anything missing nor anything in between (except stem form changes such as plurals, for example). There may be other terms outside the specified sequence.

    "Bolt with nut" also finds hexagon bolts with nuts

  • Exact search {}: The term searched for must appear exactly in the result. However, other terms may also appear.

    { screw } finds "screw" or "angle with screw", but not "screws" or "screwdriver"

  • Strict search ! The result may only contain what was entered (apart from spaces or a separator such as a period). Better to use only for variable searches (time-critical).

    WS=Steel ! only finds "Steel", not "Stainless steel"

    WS= " Stainless Steel "! (combination of phrase search and strict search [Strict search] ) only finds "Stainless Steel", not "Steel".

  • mm / Inch: Specification of a desired unit (mm, inch, kg, etc.) in square brackets []. Fractional representation is evaluated as inches by default.

    5 finds 5 mm and 5 inches | 25.4 [mm] finds both 25.4 mm and 1 inch | 1 [inch] finds both 1 inch and 25.4 mm | 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 (from-to search possible)

  • Logical operators - AND/OR - bracket substitution:

    hexagon bolt L = 400 or L>=140 L<=160 | hexagon bolt (M10x50 OR M10x60) | head cap (bolt OR screw) hexagon bolt (10.9 OR 12.9)
