1.3.6.3.2. Move products / Classify

You can move products using drag & drop, both within any class of the structure tree and from the product view [Products] to a class of the structure tree.

In the following example, products were previously imported into the "Import2" class (see Section 1.3.6.3.1, “ Import from CAD) and these are now to be moved to the appropriate classes below the "Motor" class.

[Note]Note

If products had already been subdivided by a directory structure this has been overtaken during the import. Now you can move classes with products or single products just as well.

  1. In the structure tree, select the desired class. Here exemplified "Import".

-> The products of this class are now displayed on the right on the Products tab page.

  2. Move the desired product (multi selection with Ctrl key) with pressed mouse key into the class "exhaust_pipe" via drag & drop.

The moved product is displayed in the target class.

The moved product is displayed in the target class.

    [Note]Note

If a moved product is not visible in the target class then please check whether there are class features available in the target class. On this see Section 1.3.6.2, “ Create class characteristics.

  3. You can move products from the Products view [Products] to certain classes in the Structure view just as easily as within the Structure view [Structure].

    [Note]Note

The products previously imported into the "Import2" class are also included in the product view [Products], which contains ALL products in the catalog.

In the products view it makes sense to use the filter function. At found products, the search term is marked in yellow.

In the exemplifying figure the filtering search term is a substring of the ERP number.

-> The already moved product is marked with the "Change" icon . The other products are marked with the green checkmark further on.

-> When clicking on the class link you can jump into the class where the product is assigned to anytime.

  4. Select the desired product (multi selection with pressed Ctrl-key).

Now move a second "exhaust pipe" from the product view using drag & drop.
