3.3.2.1.2. How to find Name of Object/Reference

Whenever you perform changes, keep in mind that you have to specify for which Object/Reference the changes should take effect.

In order to specify this you have to know the internal name.

Example: When using the additional task "Change Ownership" the path to the determined object has to be stated:

TC_HookService_ChangeOwnership_Objects_00=Item{ModelObject}>>revision_list{ModelObjectVector}
>>IMAN_specification{ModelObjectVector}

There are different methods to detect the internal name. Ideally the customer will give the information. Anyhow, in the following an example is given.

In this example we want to find the internal name (Real Name ) of the dataset UGMASTER -> IMAN_specification.

  1. Select a dataset UGMASTER.

  2. Call context menu command Properties On Relation....

    -> The Properties -> Specifications dialog is opened.

    Properties -> Specifications

    Properties -> Specifications

    Remember the Relation Type "Specifications".

  3. Now select the superordinated Item Revision.

  4. Call context menu command View Properties.

    -> The dialog Properties -> Item Revision is opened.

    Properties -> Item Revision

    Properties -> Item Revision

  5. Click on the button Print object properties.

    -> The Print dialog is opened.

  6. Look up the Real Name of Specifications. It's IMAN_specification.

    If the Real Name is not displayed, activate it.
