3.1.11.13. Line sorting in PARTdataManager

Are added to the PARTdataManager add to link database [Add dataset to link database (variant)] using data record (variant) [Add dataset to link database (variant)] Variants are added to the table, correct sorting is not always guaranteed.

However you can determine the scheme of sorting for the currently opened project in a special dialog. So a manual editing of the PRJTABLE is not necessary.

Hereto proceed as follows:

  1. Select the line under which the new line shall be inserted.

    [Note]Note

    This is the default insertion point.

  2. Click on the icon Add data record to link database (variant) [Add dataset to link database (variant)].

    -> The Create variant dialog box opens.

  3. Enter the value for the desired variable and confirm with Apply [Commit].

    -> The New Ident Number [new ident-no.] dialog box opens.

    Enter the missing data or select it in the list field and confirm with Ok.

    [Note]Note

    Depending on administrative presettings the dialog may be slightly different.

  4. Click on the Define sort order for currently open project [Set the sorting order for currently opened project] icon.

    -> The same-named dialog opens.

    Under New sorting [New sorting order], enter the variables to be used for sorting, separated by commas.

    Confirm with Add. -> The new sorting is executed immediately.
