In this example, we will initially perform a full-text search [Full-text search]. This is opened and activated by default when the program is started.
We carry out the full text search [Full-text search] with the following settings:
Current selection (ISO) [on the Catalogs tab page, select "Standard" -> "ISO"]
Full text search [Full-text search] with the following term:
sechskantschraube D=10 L=50
Detailed information on the syntax can be found at Section 1.3.4.3, “ Full-text search ”, or directly from the application by clicking on
.
-> The view switches to the CloudNavigator tab page
The graph shows specific individual parts. You can recognize this by the corresponding symbol
. If you move the mouse over a result, the brief information appears. There you will see the exact characteristic M10x50, which corresponds to the query.
The next step is to carry out a geo search [GeoSearch] based on a results section.
Call up the context menu on the desired component and click on Geosearch [Geometric Search].
Result: The search part moves to the center of the graph and the result parts of the GeoSearch are grouped around the search part.
The results of the 1st search (here text search) and the 2nd search (here geo search) can be compared directly next to each other. By holding down the mouse button, you can move the graph as a whole or individual nodes. On each node you will find the context menu command Zoom, which you can use to move the desired node to the center.
Two hits should now be loaded into the component comparison [Part comparison].
In the Cloud Navigator search [Cloud Navigation Search], you can access the component comparison in the context menu via General context [Common context] -> Component comparison [Part comparison].
Select once
Load as 1st [Load as first part] component and once
Load as 2nd [Load as second part] component.
-> The Part comparison dialog area is docked and the desired parts are transferred to it.
Detailed information on component comparison can be found at Section 1.3.10, “ Part comparison ”.
