A detailed description of this can be found under Section 3.1.6.10, “ Part comparison ” in PARTsolutions user manual.

Search project

If no match was found for the old data record, the data record to be assigned may be in a different position. You can use Search project to perform a keyword search. See Section 4.15.3.5.4, “No correlation to the old dataset found”.

Approve assignment

As soon as an assignment has been approved the values in the columns ACTIVE_STATE and REQUESTED_STATE are changed accordingly. See Section 4.15.3.5.1, “ACTIVE_STATE and REQUESTED_STATE ”.

Revoke assignment and save changes

Use this command, if you don't want to approve an assignment, because it is incorrect or for any reason not acceptable. Thereby the assignment is revoked. In PARTlinkManager the line with the new version is deleted again.

[Note]Note

If there is no assignment because the project or line no longer exists in the new version, it does not matter whether the Confirm assignment [Approve assignment] or the Unassign and save [Revoke assignment and save changes] command command is used.
