5.9.2.1. Menu item: General

5.9.2.1.1. Project type

	Note
	The Project type setting option is displayed at directory and project level.

Click on the arrow to open the list field with the project types. Select the desired type from the list.

By selecting a type, a specific selection of tabbed pages shows up. You can find an overview on this under Section 5.9.1, “Overview on tabbed pages ”.

Project types:
Bitmap	Project type	Description
	2D project	Create externally created 2D drawings as a project
	2D shell	Drawings created with the older form of PARTsolutions
	3D project	Project "normal case
	3D bearing	3D bearing project with several 3db files
	2D/3D project	...is later asked in PARTdataManagerwhether it should be opened as a 2D or 3D project
	2D/3D ball bearing	...is later asked for in the PARTdataManager whether it should be opened as 2-D or 3D project.
	Assembly configuration	File that is created when a configuration is saved in the configurator
	Assembly template	Assembly template
	Project documentation	.doc, .html, *.pdf files etc. are created in the form of a project
	Assembly table	...enables the opening of assemblies in PARTdataManager
	Directory	Catalog directory (NORM, etc.)
	PARTmedia	Project based on a PARTmedia file (with PARTmedia a print catalog can be created from PARTsolutions parts): Not part of this manual
	Without geometry
	Assistant	Opens embedded use cases. See Section 5.15, “Embed use cases in PARTdataManager / PARTcommunity ”. Starts the PARTsolutions Web Wizard, which enables alternative masks for part selection to be displayed. See Section 3.1.6.4.16, “ Web assistant (provided by the manufacturer) ” in ENTERPRISE 3Dfindit (Professional) - User.
	Search Assistant	See Section 3.1.6.4.15.2, “Customized filter assistants ” in ENTERPRISE 3Dfindit (Professional) - User.
	Filter Assistant	Global filter wizard created by the administration. See Section 3.1.6.4.15.3.2, “ Search filter wizard (provided by 3Dfindit Administration) ” in ENTERPRISE 3Dfindit (Professional) - User.
	Calculation Assistant	See Section 3.1.6.4.15.2, “Customized filter assistants ” in ENTERPRISE 3Dfindit (Professional) - User.
	Classification Search	Projects of this type are provided for the Classification 2.0 search.
