13.3.2.5. Exchange licenses (single user)

When replacing licenses, it is advisable to proceed at file level. Here you have full control.

  1. Click F7.

    -> The dialog window PARTsolutions Systeminfo - PARTsolutions by CADENAS [PARTsolutions system info - PARTsolutions by CADENAS] opens.

  2. Click on the link at $CADENAS _LICENSE, which will take you to the right place in the file structure.

    Then open the directory keys.

    All existing licenses are stored here.

    • *.cnsldb: License file

    • *.cnsldbbak: Backup file

      If you click on the Remove file(s [Remove file(s)] ) button on the Licenses tab page, the file will not be deleted completely, but will retain the file end attachment bak. As long as it has not yet been saved, the file can be reactivated with Undo changes [Revert changes]. The attachment bak is then removed again.

  3. Copy the new file into the directory at .../setup/lic/keys and delete any files that are no longer required (or rename the file extension to cnsldbbak).

  4. Start PARTadmin.

    -> The new license file is displayed.
