5.9.4.3.3. Example: Variants of dimensioning views

If you do not want the same dimensioning views [Dimensioning views] to be used for all component versions, you can define variants in the Variants dialog area.

  1. Create variables and values on the 3D project tab page in the Variants dialog area.

  2. Then assign the desired files, e.g. in pra format, to each variant under Dimensioning views.

Open the list field in the View column and select a default value (Front view [Front view] | Side view | Top view ) or enter your own term.

In the File with dimensions [File with dimensioning] column, open the list box and select the desired file.

Example: DIN 84

Example: DIN 84

In PARTdesigner the required variable (here "VERS" as an example) must have been created beforehand and the table values for the respective rows must have been set. For the PARTdataManager -View, it is best to hide the variable.
