1.5.3.3. SMTP server configuration

The configuration of an SMTP server is useful for various tasks.

The configuration only needs to be carried out in one place.

pappserver.cfg > Block "SendMailTask"

Examples where the SMTP mail module is used:

  • Part Number Request Dashboard (when new requests are received)

  • PLMsynchro (if processes fail)

  • For health monitoring (when monitored processes reach a critical status)

  • ReportsTask

  • ReportWatcher

  • RunScriptTask

  • SendMailTask

  • etc.
