Sketches are the base for the creation of 3D objects.

The respective docking windows for creation and editing are Sketch history and Sketcher.

When clicking on New sketch..., these docking windows are opened (see Section 7.9, “ Docking window "Sketcher" ”). This command can be found on all base planes, reference planes and fixed planes.

Empty Sketch

Furthermore you can find the command Generate sketch on selected face in the 3D view.

After creating the sketch and clicking on Accept changes the sketch is displayed in the 3D History.
