Open PARTadmin with category PARTsolutions -> ERP environment -> User.

By default, the placeholder-user (*) has the role "Admin".

Under Database user, select the database (here MS-SQL) and click on Login.

In the list field under Database, select "plinkdb".

Click on Load.

-> Now the database users are displayed (normally this is "dbo" and "erpuser").

Switch to the category Roles.

The role "Admin" has no entries yet except from Description and Preferred ranges.

Open PARTdataManager.

Select a characteristic of any part and in the ERP toolbar, click on Add dataset to link database.

-> The dialog box new ident-no. is opened.

Determine the Material and confirm with OK. (The ERP number is automatically generated.)

-> Number and material are assigned.

Open PARTlinkManager.

In the File menu, click on the item Connect.

-> The dataset with the ERP number just entered is displayed.
