5.12.13.3. Classify symbols (DXF/DWG) as "Additional export formats" (automated)

  1. In the catalog context menu, under Automation, start the VDI 3805 Wizard.

-> The dialog box VDI Wizard is opened.

  2. Perform following settings:

    • PDT file: Set the path via search button ....

    • Media directory: The files (dxf/dwg) are copied from the stated directory into the pool folder and the corresponding links accordingly generated.

The pool folder can be set in the pipeline (under $CADENAS_USER\vdi\).

At the best delete or rename all pipelines (*.pwp) in the folder $CADENAS_USER\vdi\ before starting the import. Then the pipelines will be correctly generated anew.

    • For enrichments, absolutely select Enrich classification under Mode! (The option Standard should only be used for a first initial run.)

  3. Click Finish.

-> The dialog PDT-dialog is opened.

  4. Set the correct line number for ID line, Data start line, Unit line and Data type line.

Click To verify and if there are no problems click Ok.

-> The PDT file is read.

Following entries are automatically set:

  • Pool path to dwg file is written into the last table column.

The physical files are stored in the stated pool path. You can check this via file Explorer. (There is no display in the index by default.)

  • Additional export formats

  • CNS classification

    Class "CNSCAX|GFX|LAYOUT" > attribute "CNS_DOC_CNSURI"

    Class "CNSCAX|GFX|LAYOUT" > attribute "CNS_DOC_CNSURI"

Test export: When the additional export formates are displayed in Revit, everything is correctly set up.
