1.6.1. Concept / Overview of procedure

The goal of the allocation of rights is to manage user and role dependant processes.

The appropriate PARTsolutions module is PARTadmin.

Setting up and managing the user-role concept occurs under Category -> PARTsolutions -> ERP environment.

User is managed in the database. Under ERP environment -> User in the Database user area you have direct access to the database (if the login was done with the admin password).

Roles (groups) are managed under ERP environment -> Roles. All, even very complex rules, can be managed here.

The User-Role assignment takes place under ERP environment -> User -> User-Role assignment.

How and where is the allocation of rights affected?

The different allocations of rights are visible with the following characteristics in the PARTdataManager:

  • Different column view

  • Restriction of displayed datasets in the table

  • Export restriction through status light

    In the example on the right only the datasets with ERP numbers may be exported. These are set to green.

  • Active or grayed out buttons in the ERP toolbar

    For example: Launch of PARTlinkManager possible: yes or no

  • Hidden directory in tree
