2.9.1.1.19.  Duplicate analysis: Topology filter

For Duplicate analysis the new helpful option Topology filter has been added. Background is that the geometrical search, which is the base of duplicate analysis, does not consider some details like different hole patterns and thus shows 100% similarity in these cases, which is not correct.

The possible use shall be shown with the help of a little example.

  1. Perform the common settings.

  2. Click on Topology filter.

    -> The same-named dialog box is opened.

  3. At Linear Pattern, activate the options Distance X and Distance Y and confirm with OK.

Now parts with different hole pattern are not listed as duplicates anymore.

[Note]Note

The option under Filter -> Topology search can also be used in parallel.

The filter concerns result parts, not search parts.

If you only want result parts with holes, for example, set Hole -> Amount > 0.
