You can filter out those parts that are already installed in the CAD (i.e. have entries in the LinkDB) and whose geometry has changed BEFORE a catalog update.

All projects with old, new path and old, new NB and geometric similarity are listed on the Status log Tabbed page.

If you select a project line, you can see the details under Tabular comparison [Tabular Compare] and 3D comparison so that you can assess the relevance of geometric changes.
