1.4.4.  Manage License server

In order to be able to use licenses from a license server, a respective service has to be installed on a computer (license server) in the network.

Also one or two other license servers could be installed as backup.

Make sure that you already have a license file where all needed servers are entered.

Detailed information on installation of a license server can be found under Lizenzserver-Installation - Lizenzen beantragen/einspielen.

Start the License Server license administration in your installation (e.g. PARTsolutions Enterprise) in PARTadmin -> category License administration by clicking on the button Start license server management....

In this mode you can access all setting options. Detailed information on this can be found in this chapter.

[Note]Note

If there is no PSOL installation available on the Admin client, use PARTadmin from the license server installation (which is always installed in addition).

Start PARTadmin via Windows Start menu -> CADENAS License Server -> Licenseserver. In this way PARTadmin gets started in the correct mode.

Under Windows -> Services -> Cadenas License Server -> Context menu "Properties" you can see the installation path of the license server.

-> The license server administration is opened (category License server) and therein the dialog box Connecting to the License Server....

Depending on whether a license server has already been configured or not, select one of the following options:
