2.2.3.  Create new report

  1. Click on the Create Report button.

    -> The settings dialog opens.

  2. Fill in the individual points:

    • Search template: If templates are available, you can select them and the corresponding settings will be set automatically.

Templates can be deleted by clicking on the recycle bin icon.

    • Report name: Assign a free name for the report, otherwise the default name "Duplicate Report" is used. You can use the assigned name to differentiate your generated reports.

    • Directory selection:

      • Click on the two buttons Select search folder and Select target folder.

-> The catalog index is displayed to the left and right of the settings page.

-> Activate the desired catalogs or subdirectories.

-> Your selection is displayed under Selected Folders.

      • Filter search parts / Filter candidate parts: Enter an optional term in each case.

-> A full text search is carried out and the parts selection is filtered accordingly.

      • Preferred rows only (search parts) / Preferred rows only (search results): Optionally use the preferred rows filter. This is role-dependent. For example, select "ERP number available" in the list field to only take such rows into account.

      • Use part list:

        1. Upload a corresponding text file. This only has one column with values.

          steel
          copper

        2. In the input field, enter the column name of the table, the values of which must match those of the text file.

In this example, only rows that contain the value "steel" or "copper" in the "MAT_NAME" column would be taken into account for the evaluation.

    • Search criteria:

      • Geometric search template: Default is "Duplicate search".

        • specially optimized for high similarities

        • less meaningful with low percentage values

      • Include component size:

        • Activated (default): Shape and size must match.

        • Deactivated: Only the basic form is evaluated.

        [Note]Note
        • In manufacturer catalogs, often not all partsare not all parts

        • If required: deactivate and filter manually later

      • Ignore mirrored parts:

        • Removes mirrored geometries from the result

        • Mirrored parts are otherwise displayed as hits

          Example of mirrored parts:

      • Include geometric features: If this option is activated, geometric features such as different hole patterns are included. This means that parts also differ in this respect and no longer appear as duplicate candidates in the results.

      • Minimum similiarity in %:

        • Defines the lower limit of hits

        • Default: 99 %

        • The lower the value, the more (and more blurred) hits

      • Variable filter: All ERP variables are displayed in the list field. For example, you could only include lines where the "ACTIVE_STATE" variable has the value "released".

There may be parts within a parts family with the same geometry but different properties such as color, for example.

        The option:

        • ignores identical geometries within a parts family

        • is relevant for variants (e.g. same geometry, different color)

      • Save search template as: Enter a desired name. The template will then be available later under Search template (see above).

  3. Finally, click on the Create Report button.

-> You will be redirected back to the report overview.
