Please regard the following notes when creating patterns:
With V12, besides the manual creation of patterns, there is also a simplified method with a Wizard. Up to now only the manual method was possible.
Call the Wizard via context menu command Apply pattern. Details can be found under Section 7.6.2.8.1, “ Pattern wizard ”.
Features created with the Wizard will get the naming Grp Pattern in the 3D History, manually created features the naming Pattern.
The pattern above "Pattern 1" has been created with the Wizard, then changed in a pattern for manual editing (in order to remove one element), the lateral pattern "Grp Pattern 2" has been created via Wizard.
For patterns created by the Wizard (Grp Pattern), you can call the Wizard again via context menu command Edit.... Manually created patterns are called via Edit... on Pattern Sketch level.
Via context menu command Dissolve group, you can transfer a pattern created by Wizard into a pattern to be edited manually. After that further on it can only be edited manually. There is no undo, in order to edit with the Wizard again. Then the pattern behaves like a completely manually created one. Actually this only makes sense if the pattern shall be changed into an irregular one (e.g. for deleting single pattern elements). On this see Section 7.6.2.8.2.3, “Irregular patterns ”.
Manually created patterns can only be manually edited further on.
