7.7.2. Context menu commands for assemblies

In PARTdesigner, you can open and edit not only individual parts but also entire assemblies.

In addition to the selection options familiar from individual parts, you will find two additional menu items for assemblies: Assembly - Structure [Assembly - Instances] and Assembly - Component [Assembly - Part].

Assembly - Structure

  • Delete

    Deletes the component on the right from the assembly [Assembly].

  • Edit in PARTproject

    Opens PARTproject or brings the application to the foreground.

  • Edit in PARTdesigner...

    Opens the individual part in a new PARTdesigner instance.

  • Catch [Zoom]

    The component is displayed centered in the 3D view.

  • Transparency

    Settings for the transparent display of the individual part.

Assembly - Component

  • Properties

    Opens the Properties [Part properties] window for the part [Part properties], in which additional settings can be made in addition to the path and file name.

  • Delete

    Deletes the component on the left from the configurator if it is not used.

  • Duplicate

    Duplicates the targeted component after querying the properties that are to be copied.

  • Replace

    The targeted component can be replaced by a part on the local hard disk.

  • Move up

    Moves the element up one place in the configurator.

  • Move downwards [Move down]

    Moves the element one place down in the configurator.

  • Rename formula name [Rename equation name]

    Opens a dialog box to rename the formula name.

  • Show references [Show links]

    Shows in the configurator which other parts the component refers to.

  • Edit in PARTproject

    Opens PARTproject or brings the application to the foreground.

  • Edit in PARTdesigner...

    Opens the individual part in a new PARTdesigner instance.
