2.1.1.3.2.  PARTapplicationServer Dashboard: Run tasks sequentially

In the PARTapplicationServer Dashboard, you can directly select preconfigured tasks via GUI or load respective vbb scripts.

As of V11 SP12 the possibility to run tasks sequentially has been added.

Example:

If Task1 is finished start Task2.

If Task2 is finished start Task3.

If Task3 is finished start the nightly update.

For this, proceed as follow:

  1. Select the module RunPipelineTask.

  2. Select a pipeline.

  3. Enable the option TriggerFinishedEvent. (This option is only available under RunPipelineTask.)

  4. Under CustomFinishedEvent or CustomFailedEvent, enter a name.

    [Note]Note

    Events/Trigger have to begin with an "on".

  5. For the desired follow-up task, under Timetable for when the task is supposed to run, select the option Event driven and enter exactly the name defined before. (The follow-up task may be any, not only RunPipelineTask.)
