In 3Dfindit, open the directory of own parts to be searched.
Click on the button. (This step is recommended as otherwise you will be searching across all catalogs).
-> The directory is added as a search filter in the search line.
Open the desired search part and click on the button.
-> The component is loaded in the geo search settings area.
Select Click on the tab
3D Shape Search [3D Shape Search], to perform a search for the complete part.
Alternative You can also click on the
Partial Search [Partial search] tab Make settings for a partial search. Information on this can be found under Section 4.4.2.1.3, “ Partial search ” in 3Dfindit Enterprise - Manual.
Alternatively, you can also upload 3D models by first clicking on the 3D Form [3D Shape] button in the main bar and then on the My 3D models [Own 3D models] dialog area. Select the desired model in the explorer window or simply drag the desired file into the dialog area.
Optionally, you can customize the search in the geo search settings area:
Include component size [Include Part Size]: Yes/No
If the option is activated, some parts may not appear in the result even though they are geometrically similar but have different sizes. However, it may be possible for the designer to adjust the part size with little effort, so that deviating parts may also be of interest.
If activated, the result on the right is omitted.
You can extend the search with geometric features [Geometric features] (holes, patterns, cylindrical or flat surfaces, component size, etc.) at any time. See Section 4.4.2.3, “ Advanced search for geometric features ” in 3Dfindit Enterprise - Manual.
Information on parametric 3D templates [Parametric 3D Templates] can be found under Section 4.4.2.2, “ Parametric 3D Templates ” in 3Dfindit Enterprise - Manual.
-> The search results are displayed.
