3.1.6.4.7.1.  Sketch search (2D): The most important things at a glance
Functional description

Creating sketches is simple and quick.

The sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] is useful if no reference part is available for a geometric search (3D) [Geometric search (3D)]. In a second step, the search may then be continued with Geometric search (3D) [Geometric search (3D)].

All search methods can be combined with each other, only sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] and geometric search (3D) [Geometric search (3D)] are mutually exclusive.

The sketch search (2D) [Sketch search (2D)] is ideal if there is a special characteristic that can ideally be captured with just one simple sketch.

[Note]Note

The proportion between sketches matters, but not the absolute size. The crosshairs help keeping the proportion.
