5.12.14.4.1.  Index update

In order for the classification to be available in PARTdataManager, the search index has to be updated.

  1. Open PARTadmin.

  2. Select the Index management [Index administration] category.

  3. In the directory tree under Classifications, call up the Include in the display index [Add to display index] command in the context menu of the newly created classification. Detailed information on this can be found under Section 1.3.3.6, “ Index administration ” in PARTsolutions Administration - Manual .

  4. In order for the search to work with self-created class systems, the Generate index for full text search [Create full-text search index] must be executed in PARTadmin.

    In the exemplary figure now when entering "Schraube" (bolt) all classes, which contain this term, are displayed. If you select a search result, then in the tree the respective class is also selected.

  5. Exit [Close] PARTadmin.

  6. Now call up PARTproject to classify components. In PARTdataManager at least the classification is now displayed; depending on the config setting, the empty classes are also displayed.
