1.3.8.6.2. Display index

Once in PARTproject or on file level, new directories are created, in PARTadmin, in the index administration, the respective icon is displayed.

  • Add to display index

    The command is displayed when calling the context menu on the respective directory.

    As an alternative - as long as no index exists - you can delete the data again (in PARTproject or on file level).

  • Display index -> Update

    If there are changes Display index -> Update has to be used.

    When executing this command, the clicked directory including all subdirectories is searched and the Display index is updated.

    The display index is needed for saving or display of the directory structure. It has to be available in order for catalogs to be displayed in PARTdataManager. Other indices are optional for PARTdataManager functionality (however, useful in order to be able to use both Full-text search and the different geometrical search methods).

    Update display index is required. For example, if in the meantime project files (*.prj) have been changed or moved.

    A missing display index is signalized by the icon .

  • Display index -> Add missing directories to the display index

    The directory directly under "Bolts" is added to the index.

    The directory directly under "Bolts" is added to the index.

    The function only adds missing directories into the index, which are directly under the chosen one. Directories, which are further down in the hierarchy are not added.
