3.9.1. What is a license server installation?

The License Server Setup installs a License Server, which distributes the necessary licenses to respective named users.

[Note]Note

PARTsolutions Server (with PARTsolutions installation and license directory) and License Server Master can be the same computer in practice.

[Note]Note

The license (and thus a possibly used license server) has to be available at start up of the PARTapplicationServer, because this one configures its functionality at start up. Subsequent "pulling" of licenses is not possible and provided.
