6.3.4. Edit datasets in the PARTdataManager

After clicking on the button button, the Edit/delete data record [Edit/delete dataset] dialog box appears.

The button is only available with extended ERP functionality. It is also role-related and can therefore be deactivated for certain users. See Section 4.8, “ERP toolbar and menu ” in PARTsolutions Administration - Manual .

  • New key value

    If desired, change the ERP_PDM_NUMBER.

    [Note]Note

    An assigned number should generally not be changed.

The data view is divided into link data [Link-data] and ERP data.

  • Update dataset

    Click on the value to be changed.

    The entry field opens.

    Change the value accordingly and click the Update data record [Update dataset] button.

  • Edit varset

    If you are dealing with a variant in the marked row, you can change the geometry value, otherwise a message shows up.

    1. Click Edit Varset [Edit varset].

      -> The dialog is opened.

    2. Change the desired value.

    3. Finally, click Update data record [Update dataset].

  • Delete link

    Deletes the data in the LINKTABLE.

    This is followed by a query whether or not the data should be kept in the ERPTABLE. Reply accordingly.

  • Execute SQL-command

    Opens the same named window.

    You can enter any command in the SQL command input field.

    Define the maximum number of rows in the result.

    Then click Execute.

    Using Browse ... you can display the table names and a selection of SQL commands.
