On the Checkout [Checkouts] tab page, you can administratively determine whether users are allowed to check out/borrow floating licenses. Borrowing takes place in the respective module under ? -menu -> Licenses (F9) -> Checkout tab page. See Section 5.5.1.5, “ Checkout " tab page”" tab page.

This reduces the number of floating licenses available for the predetermined loan period. The borrowed license can then be used on the computer in question until the end of the borrowing period. The license is blocked on the license server until the specified loan period has expired.

So a Floating license can be used as quasi "nodelocked" in a certain time period (on a journey for example).

The right to checkout Floating licenses can optionally be restricted for single users.

The procedure is described below:

Display result in the "Active loans [Active checkouts] " dialog area after a checkout in the module:

As soon as a user has made a loan in a module under ? -Menu -> Licenses -> Dialog window PARTsolutionsLicense information for module xy -> Checkout tab page, the corresponding computer name appears in the Active loans [Active checkouts] dialog area.

Furthermore you can see the amount of license products, the beginning and end of checkout period and the respective user, identified by his login name.

Via double-click on the computer name all licenses reserved by this computer are displayed.
