In addition to the "physical" folder name, there is also a catalog name [Catalog name] which, after translation [Translation] (see PARTproject -> Catalog main folder -> Translation tab) the display name for the end customer in the PARTdataManager pARTcommunity and other CADENASend media.
The catalog name [Catalog name] appears again and again in many places. It is therefore important that it is short, clear and consistent.
You should also be careful and always check whether a catalog with the desired name already exists. It often happens that a manufacturer is a customer of different CADENAS branches in different countries. In such a case, you should always first try to see if the manufacturers can be merged into one catalog. Only if this is absolutely impossible should the catalogs be handled separately and with a name extension in the scheme "companyname_cn" (e.g. for China), etc.
The catalog designation [Catalog name] is relevant in the following places, for example:
Catalog company [Company key] key (see Section 3.2.2, “ Definition of the catalog company key (license key) ”)
Translation of the catalog name [Catalog name] (display name in PARTdataManager)
Also see Section 3.2.18, “Special labeling of catalog with icons ”.
