In order to create the 3D PDF data sheet, a layout template must be defined. This contains information on how the data should be arranged on the PDF.
The templates are provided with standard text [Standard text], standard number [Standard number], preview image, U3D image (interactive 3D view)[96] technical previews, 2D derivations, table values, etc. are filled in.
Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 8.x is recommended when using 3D functionality.
All displays correspond to the table row chosen during export.
In the PDF data sheet, the Shaded display [Shaded view] setting can also be selected for the 2D derivation. The creation is much faster and since in most cases no real line representation is required, this is a good alternative.[97]
You can display the Windows user name and the mass of the part/assembly in the PDF data sheet. The mass declaration is important among others, in order to be able to calculate the carrying charge. The user name is interesting for company internal data sheets e.g. at incoming orders, when the data sheet is enclosed to the order.
Call up the export format in PARTdataManager via the PDF Datasheet icon
icon.
-> The Export in PDF Datasheet format dialog box opens on the PDF export options tab page.
The default selection Use default template [Use default-template] is activated.
If company standard templates are available for the currently selected catalog, you can select these in the Level [Plane] list box, otherwise select CADENAS.
Overwrite derivation view from template:
If the option is set, the setting in the list field under Derivation view is used.
If the option is not set, the default from the template is used regardless of the setting under Derivation view [Derivation view]. However, if no default is set in the template, the setting in the list field under Derivation view [Derivation view] is also used.
Display data sheet after export [Open generated datasheet] (optional)
Use Browse to set the path to the target file [Destination file].
Table tab page -> Remove columns from table [Remove column from table]:
On the Table tab page, you can remove columns from the table for the data sheet view. Activate the checkbox for the columns not to be displayed.
Optionally, you can adjust the export accuracy [Export accuracy] on the Export options tab page.
Select the desired accuracy from the list field:
The component is recalculated to the set level of detail before export.
The function is identical to the detailing option
in PARTdataManager, but here only temporarily for the export.
