During the editing process, you will see a preview of the current progress of the pipe run in the 3D view docking window.
To reduce the calculation time the preview is a simplified version of the pipe. For example, it is not shown whether a pipe is hollow or has roundings.
When editing an element it is highlighted in dark blue color, the dialog with light blue background.
The preview image is continuously updated at each step. Only if an invalid element occurs the preview will stop.
When changing input parameters, you will see the preview (green, or the currently edited element in dark blue) and the last saved status (gray) next to each other (see Fig. „The preview shows a bending radius [Bend radius] changed from 15 to 25“). The last saved status is only updated by confirming the dialog with .
The preview in the 3D View [3D view] docking window can be hidden by clicking on the icon at the bottom left
can be hidden. (In rare cases this is required to improve performance if a preview becomes too complex and the computer slows down as a result)
You can rotate or zoom in the 3D view while the Pipe dialog box is open. If the preview is ever lost from view, simply click on the Snap preview image [Fit preview to screen] icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the Pipe dialog box
