6.5.1.1.  Download catalog from server

[Note]Note

Before a catalog can be downloaded from the server, it must have been created on the server with the corresponding name.

Only lowercase letters may be used for the catalog name!

If not yet happened, download the desired catalog from the server one-time.

When executing Download catalog from server, no directory with the same name must already exist! Otherwise, rename this directory![65]

  1. Call up the context menu in the directory tree at the 23d-libs level (right mouse button) and select the Download catalog from server command under Version management [Versioning system].

    -> The Select catalog dialog box opens.

  2. In the listing select the desired catalog. If a confusing number of catalogs is displayed, use the input field for filtering.

  3. Confirm with OK.

    -> The Check out catalog dialog box opens.

    -> The catalog is downloaded. Finally the index is updated.

    -> The download process is logged inside the dialog box.

    After a successful download, the message Done! [Ready!] appears in the dialog box.

  4. Click on Close. You can now test the catalog in the PARTdataManager test the catalog.

For each catalog, the QA status must be set to Yes in PARTproject under General -> Catalog settings [Settings for the catalog], the QA status must be set to Yes and the server path entered. Copy the path from the login dialog.

When the catalog has been initially downloaded from the server, the entry is set by default.

  • QA: If a QA managed catalog is to be created, then Yes must be selected here in the list field.

  • Server: The entry is made automatically for SVN-managed catalogs.
