Single/Nodelocked: One license for one workstation, licensed to the HOST ID at authorized locations

Typically used in addition to the single workstation for infrastructure components such as AppServer, PLM Synchro Worker and other computers that need to run around the clock.

Named User (Dynamic User): Nodelocked licenses that are distributed by a license server (terminal server) for dedicated users (named users), licensed to the user ID (e.g. Windows login), at authorized locations. The USER ID is registered on the first connection with the licensed software. The number of active sessions must not exceed the number of registered users.

Typically used for End-User licensing (CAD workstations).

Floating: Licenses which are distributed by a license server.
