5.12.12.5. Classify tender texts: General approach

CADENAS provides a respective classification for public tender texts (short text and long text), which catalog manufactures should use for their parts. Exported in the respective format they can be opened and processed with any public tender software.

Prerequisite

Make sure you have an up-to-date CNS classification. If necessary, update this via PARTadmin -> Catalog update -> Online.

In PARTproject under Extras menu -> Class systems: Edit [Class systems: edit...]... the corresponding architecture-specific classes are then set.

Class system: CNS -> Filter: Classes -> Specific Properties -> Architecture Specific -> Public tender short text and Public tender long text

Class system: CNS -> Filter: Classes -> Specific Properties -> Architecture Specific -> Public tender short text and Public tender long text

Classify part
  1. Open the dialog area under Edit project -> General tab -> Classification (CNS) by clicking on ....

  2. Add the Architecture Specific class to the component.

  3. Open the dialog area under Edit project -> Characteristics (CNS) by clicking on ....

  4. Now define the corresponding media variables in the Value column for the tender texts. Optionally, you can make the texts translatable using the checkboxes under Translatable.

    $MEDIA_SHORTTEXT and $MEDIA_LONGTEXT

    $MEDIA_SHORTTEXT and $MEDIA_LONGTEXT

  5. Switch to the Documents tab page, create the two media variables here too and enter the texts.

    [Note]Note
    • Do not use umlauts (ä,ö,ü) for the texts (only ANSI format).

Details on creating media variables can be found on Section 5.9.17, “Tabbed page: Media Variable ”.

Export

Now when exporting with the respective formats, the stored public tender texts are used. (Should there be no classification available for short and long text, fallback will be NN as short text and NT as long text.)
