Parts accordingly classified can be used for piping in NX, Creo or Revit, for example.
All parts from
standard catalogs are part of the Standards Classification and are
marked with the Standards icon 
in the top left corner.
All parts from supplier catalogs, which part information has a reference to a Standard part, are assigned to the Standards Classification together with the respective part from the Standard catalog in the respective class.
When you select the Standards classification in the list field of the Links dialog box, all parts classified in the same way are displayed.
In the case of PARTsolutions with ERP integration some more possibilities are given:
Directories which contain standard parts, can be marked with any color (here in the following exemplary figure with blue), so that at first view it is quite clear, where standard parts can be found. Information on this can be found under Section 3.1.11.8, “ Status colors for catalog index ”.
Furthermore these can be marked as preferred parts, etc.
