If you want to create a component in the LinkDB with a table value that is not contained in the characteristic attribute table (variant), use this function.
Select a data set that is closest to the variable to be changed.
Click on the Add variant to link database button.
-> The Edit variant dialog box, which lists all variables and values in the characteristic attribute table, opens.
For example, change the value 8 from Nominal length (L) to 9, which does not appear in the characteristic attribute table, and confirm with .
-> The New ident number [new ident-no.] dialog opens.
Enter the ERP number [ERP Number], select the desired material [Material] and confirm with . The ERP number [ERP Number] can also be generated automatically depending on the workflow, in which case the field is not displayed.
The dialog remains open. You can now create another entry with a different material or close the dialog by clicking .
The variant is now displayed in 3Dfindit.
