8.3.  Apply for an ERP number

From within 3Dfindit, the release for parts that are blocked for export can be requested from the responsible office by e-mail.

  1. Select the desired table row.

  2. Click on the Request ERP number button.

    -> The E-mail dialog box opens.

    The input fields can be extended as required, so they do not necessarily look like the example here.[20]

    The fields Standard name [Standard] and Standard are automatically taken from the selected data record.

  3. Make the desired entries and confirm by clicking on the Send e-mail button.

    -> The recipient entered under Send to receives an e-mail (or another type of notification depending on the administrative settings). A .psmid file containing the MIdent ("Internal identification of the part") and a preview image is attached to the e-mail. The e-mail itself contains all important information about the part.

  4. As soon as the part has been released, the status display in the table changes (possibly also the display at product and directory level). The part can now be exported to CAD. To do this, click on the Export to CAD button.
