8.4.  Edit/delete data record

/ Edit/delete record in link database

[Note]Note

Whether a button is displayed, i.e. a function is available, is subject to administrative default settings and can also be controlled depending on the role, e.g. Admin may, but User may not.

The function is used to change LinkDB values such as material. This applies regardless of whether it is a standard line or a variant. Values in the characteristic attribute table cannot be changed with this function.

  1. Select the desired line.

  2. Click on the button.

-> The Edit/Delete data record [Edit/delete dataset] dialog box opens.

  3. You now have 2 options:

    • Edit the values of individual ERP variables and then confirm with OK.

    • Click on the Delete data record [Delete dataset] button.

-> Are you sure you want to delete the data record? [Are you sure you want to delete the record?]

      Confirm with Yes.

-> There is no further link to this data [There are no more links to this data]. Delete ERP data as well? [Do you want to delete the ERP data also?]

If you answer No, the data record remains with the ERP number and the ERP fields created, otherwise the data record is deleted completely.[21]

[21] All data records are managed in PARTlinkManager. If you select + unused ERP numbers in the list field, you will also see ERP numbers that have been used once but no longer have a link. Details on PARTlinkManager can be found under Section 4.24, “ PARTlinkManager Reference ” in PARTsolutions Administration - Manual .
